Prosecution Services Unit

The Prosecution Services Unit is responsible for the prosecution of cases resulting from complaints filed against regulated health care practitioners. Common duties include reviewing investigations, preparing cases for presentation to a probable cause panel, filing administrative complaints against health care practitioners when probable cause is determined, prosecuting formal charges or facilitating resolution of the case through informal dispute resolution mechanisms, litigating cases involving attorney fee issues, handling appellate matters, and preparing emergency suspension or restriction orders to be issued upon approval of the State Surgeon General.
