Bureau of Operations

The Bureau of Operations provides operation and infrastructure support to MQA and the boards and councils. Key functions ranging from document, contract, asset, and database management to license maintenance and renewal, background screening services, and voice, email, and AI-powered customer contact. It is comprised of four units:

Background Screening and Practitioner Notification Services

Background Screening and Practitioner Notification Services provides background screening services to the regulatory boards. Additionally, this unit coordinates licensure and fingerprint renewal events and notifications to licensed health care practitioners for license and retained fingerprint renewal. And ensures MQA complies with all relevant state and federal policies and procedures related to the State’s Background Screening Clearinghouse, Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Licensure Support Services

Licensure Support Services provides communication support to health care practitioners about initial and renewal licensure and manages all services related to issuing and maintaining a health care license in Florida.

Operational Support Services

Operational Support Services provides administrative support to boards and councils, and units through document management, procurement, contract management, meeting planning, maintaining legal documents, and reporting adverse actions that to the National Practitioner Data Bank.

System Support Services

System Support Services maintains and provides functional and technical support for the licensure and enforcement database and document imaging systems, evaluates improved data accuracy, validity, and reliability, and provides web and graphic support for websites and social media accounts.
